Hotel Policies

Check-In Time: After 4pm

A drivers license matching the credit card on file must be presented as proper identification upon check in. The credit card on file will be authorized at check-in for the projected balance plus an estimated amount per day for any incidentals purchased while staying at the resort. Any unused balance of this authorization will be released upon check-out. At least one party member must be over the age of 21 in order to rent a room or group of rooms.

Early Check-In: As of January 1st, 2017, we no longer accept early arrival requests over the phone. However we still provide two options for early check-in depending on your needs. Click here to sign up for early check-in.

Check-Out Time: Before 11am

Requests for a late check-out up to noon may be granted based on availability. Half-day rates may also be available for a later checkout into the early evening.

Priority Check-In Packages: Several priority check-in options are available for guests who require a guaranteed early check-in. A guaranteed 3:00pm check-in can be purchased for an additional $25 fee, $50 for a 2:00pm check-in, or $75 for a 1:00pm check-in. Priority check-in options also come with a money-back guarantee. If your room is not available by your selected check-in time, you will be refunded your priority check-in fee and receive the first night of your reservation for free! Rates are based on one or two adults per room. Additional adults may occupy the room for $15.00 + tax per night per person when using the existing bedding in the room. Cots, cribs, and pack-and-plays are available for $15.00 + tax per night on a first come first serve basis.

9% NH state tax applies to all room rates.

Rates may vary and minimum stay requirements may be set for special event periods. Please contact us for those dates.

Up to 2 children under 18 years of age stay free in the same room as parents when existing bedding is used.

To guarantee a reservation, a deposit equal to one night’s lodging is required. Deposit must be received when the reservation is placed. All advance deposits and credit card guarantees are credited to the last night of the reservation. Balance is due in full upon arrival. All major credit cards are accepted.

If cancelling less than 7 days prior to arrival, your entire deposit will be non-refundable. If 7 or more days advance notice is given prior to arrival, a minimum $25 cancellation fee will be deducted from your deposit and the remainder of the deposit will be refunded. Cancellation policy for special event dates may vary.

Cancellations of Priority Check-In options must also be made with 7 or more days advance notice or the Priority Check-In fee becomes non-refundable

Should you leave before your reservation expires, you will be charged for all remaining days.

Maintaining a quiet and peaceful environment on guest floors is our highest priority. For this reason we handle noise complaints in the following manner :

  • Upon the first noise complaint, we will issue a warning to the registered guest.
  • If there is a second complaint, everyone but the registered guest will be required to leave the guest room.
  • In the event of a third complaint, the registered guest will be evicted from the hotel without refund.

As a licensee of the NH State Liquor Commission, The Margate Resort is responsible for the administration of the following regulations, per NH State Law, NHSLC RSA 178:22-III and 178:22-IV :

  • Personal food and beverage items not sold through the resort may only be consumed inside guest rooms. For guests occupying the motel style West building rooms, personal food and beverage items may also be consumed directly outside the guest room door.
  • No food or beverage items may be consumed in any public areas of the hotel.
  • Any food or beverage items purchased through the resort must remain in the licensed area where the items were purchased. Transporting or consuming any food or beverage items throughout the hotel public areas is strictly prohibited.

The Margate Resort is a 100% Smoke Free Hotel. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all buildings and guest rooms. A $250 smoke removal fee may be applied for smoking in guest rooms.

The Margate Resort does not accept pets. A $250 deep cleaning fee may be applied if any pets are found in guest rooms. Service animals that provide assistance for guests with disabilities are not considered pets and are not subject to this policy.
